I am a PhD student (5th year) at the University of Utah, Electrical and Computer Engineering department. Currently, I am a research assistant at Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute (SCI) working with Dr. Tolga Tasdizen.


I was born in 1984 in Isfahan, Iran. I received my B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tehran in 2007, and my M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Sharif University of Technology in 2009.


My research interests include machine learning, computer vision, statistical pattern recognition, Image analysis and biomedical image processing. You can find more information about my research here.

8/29/2015- **Our CHM paper got accepted to PAMI.**


6/3/2014- I successfully defended my PhD thesis “Scene Labeling with Supervised Contextual Models”.


4/10/2014- Code released. I have released a version of multi-scale series contextual code.


4/8/2014- Our CHM code is now available on SCI’s web page under software tab.


10/23/2013- Code released. The code of our iccv paper, cascaded hierarchical model, is available now.
