The applicant is expected to provide help desk support through e-mails, phone,

or in person to help faculty, staff and students with their day to day computer

problems.

The incumbent for this position needs to be familiar with various Operating Systems(linux, windows and OSX ) to install, upgrade and support—specially proficient inopenSUSE and CentOS. Other tasks and projects can be assigned by supervisor as seen fit.Excellent communication and courteous customer service skills are essential.Nature of IT jobs requires occasional weekends and after office hours work.The incumbent is required to participate actively in after hours work when it’s scheduled.Qualifications:Requires a bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of experience in the field.Applicants must demonstrate potential ability to perform essentialfunctions of the job as outlined in the position description.
