Job Summary Postdoctoral opening on adversarial robustness in deep learning We are looking for a highly motivated postdoc to join our research team at the Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute, University of Utah. The focus of the project is to use machine learning to predict the type and processing history of interdicted nuclear materials from electron microscopy. A key component of the project is the analysis and improvement of the adversarial robustness of models used for prediction. The selected candidate will work on fundamental questions related to adversarial robustness with a broad focus on general image classification problems. The position will be for 18 months with the possible extension to 24 months.
Responsibilities -Develop novel methods the analysis and improvement of deep learning models.
-Write high quality scientific papers and present at top tier computer vision and machine learning conferences
Minimum Qualifications Qualifications:
- PhD from Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Strong technical background in machine learning and image processing.
- Doctoral research in machine learning, computer vision or image analysis.
- Previous project experience with Python and either Tensorflow or PyTorch
- Good written and oral communication skills
