Dr. David Hedges - Postdoctoral Fellow
BackgroundI received my undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from Brigham Young University in 2012. I graduated with a PhD in Biochemistry from Brigham Young University in 2016. My dissertation work focused on using fast-scan cyclic voltammetry to map a molecular mechanism of acute methamphetamine's effects on dopamine release in the nucleus accumbens. I then did a postdoctoral fellowship at the Scripps Research Institute studying the relationship between stress and alcoholism until August, 2017.
Current ResponsibilitiesIn September 2017, I began working for Dr Christopher Butson at the SCI Institute as a Postdoctoral Fellow. I will work on an NSF-funded project developing and optimizing the International Neuromodulation Registry.
