Background
I received my B.S. in neuroscience from Allegheny College in 2017. Since 2017 I have attended graduate school at the University of Utah, working on a project with Dr. Brittany Coats to create a biomechanical finite element model of the tissue-entry interface of the Utah Electrode Array. I am currently conducting a new project with Dr. Christopher Butson on the characterization of cortical electrode-tissue interfaces using electrical impedance microscopy in large mammals.
Current Responsibilities
- Completing project in biomechanical finite element modeling of Utah Electrode Array
- Starting a new study in characterization of the electrode-tissue interface of cortical electrodes in large mammals using impedance microscopy
Research Interests
- Electrical, chemical and physical bio-compatibility of electrode-tissue interfaces
