Rafael Tolosana-Calasanz is an Associate Professor at the University of Zaragoza (UNIZAR) and affiliated with the Instituto de Investigación en Ingeniería de Aragón (I3A). He received his PhD in Distributed Computing in 2010. His work focuses on distributed systems, adaptive and self-organizing computing, reproducibility in computational research, and AI infrastructure.
Rafa is involved in research and EU project activities related to distributed and adaptive systems, reproducibility initiatives, and AI infrastructure. He oversees the technical aspects of the EU project GenAI4EU Hub (May 2026-May 2029), which serves as the European observatory for LLMs.
