Cylinder Test Validation for Product Expansion JWL

About

Movie

The following movie shows a cylinder ignited by shock (the thin metal slab on the right). The detonation grows to a steady state a few centimeters along. Visually, this steady state can be inferred about when the reaction front contains a stable convex reaction front. The following video uses the ViscoSCRAM Material Model[1] with a constant Bulk Modulus EOS, P=k*(1/v-v) where k is the BM and v is the reduced specific volume rho0/rho. The product JWL uses parameters from Vandersall, et. al.[2], originally published by Urtiew, et. al. [3].
