How to set up Google calendars
Some tips on how to make all the magic work (June 22, 2011)
-
Google Calendar help page
-
Syncing Google calendar with amobile device
-
Choosing which cals to sync on Apple devices
-
Setting up access control in Apache
-
Tool to generate encrypted passwords
- If you want to embed your calendar like this one, do the following:
- From the main calendar window, click on "Settings"
- Then select any calendar--does not matter which.
- In the yellow bar is a set of three options; select the one
called "Calendar Details"
- In the resulting new window, scross down to "Embed This
Calendar" and there select the link called "Customize the color, size,
and other options"
- The in the resulting window, select the layout options you
want and then copy and past the generated HTML code into your web page.
- The final weirdness is that this may not work! To really
ensure that people can see the calendar, you may have to add them to the
list of people who share the calendar; and then have them log into their
Gmail/GCalendar accounts in the browser before they look at the page with
the embedded page. This is a bug and hopefully Google will fix it!
