After earning a BA in Middle East Studies and the Arabic Language from Brigham Young University in 2014, I spent the next decade helping mission-driven organizations serve vulnerable populations in Utah. Serving a majority of that time in refugee services, I advanced through front-line and leadership roles to program manager, wherein I helped navigate periods of major staffing and funding reductions followed by a period of rapid growth and expansion of services while continuously meeting the daily challenges facing staff and clients.
Earning my MBA from Western Governors University in 2020, I played a major role in building refugee service program capacity and resiliency through collaborative planning and implementation of process, program, and systems improvements. I also had the privilege of providing administrative leadership and support in mental health and substance use disorder recovery services for a brief time. I am excited to bring my energy and experience to SCI.
I am responsible for providing programmatic and administrative leadership for all One-U RAI programs: faculty hiring and coordination of distinguished visitors, faculty fellows, and postdoctoral fellows. I also support One-U RAI events and website communications.
