Current Responsibilities

Elizabeth is serving a joint appointment at the SCI Institute from the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Current research interests include developing techniques for the automated analysis of biomedical data. Specifically, scientists are collecting large amounts of electron microscopy image data to gain a better understanding of neuron organization in the central nervous system and need automated tools to segment and visualize these complex processes. Elizabeth also serves as the technical manager for CIBC, aiding in the development of software tools that integrate modeling, simulation, and visualization of biomedical data.
