Background

I have been an undergraduate student at the University of Utah since Fall of 2015 and I intend to graduate with a bachelors in biomedical engineering and a minor in applied mathematics in Fall of 2019. Afterwards, I intend to further my education by attending graduate school and continuing my study of bioengineering. Over the past few semesters I have been a member of the CEG group where I have expanded my knowledge and abilities in various programs such as MATLAB, Map3D, SCIRun, and Seg3D.

Current Responsibilities

The CEG group, led by Dr. Rob MacLeod, seeks to improve the diagnosis and management of heart diseases based on electrical information present on the body surface. I implement Map3D and MATLAB to analyze experimental data related specifically to premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) to look for trends that can inform further research, and possibly reduce error in clinical treatment. In addition, I assist in experiments which investigate the electrical activity of the heart during ischemia episodes and stimulated PVCs.
