Skyler Jayson - Undergraduate Research Assistant
I am currently studying Biomedical Engineering at the University of Utah with a minor in Computer Science with an emphasis on data science. I plan to graduate with my Bachelor's and then go onto graduate school to study bioinformatics to help integrate the benefits of Big Data into the medical field.
I currently work in the Musculoskeletal Research Laboratories. I am responsible for creating and analyzing pediatric Cervical Spine models and comparing them to mature Cervical Spines.
I am interested in learning and hypothesizing ways that technology can help progress the medical field. Such as technology being able to automate diagnosis, decrease recovery time, or even find cures to diseases. I also have a high interest in Big Data in general and how machine learning functions and how big companies such as Google use it.
