Dr. Ouk Choi received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from KAIST, Republic of Korea, in 2001, 2003, and 2009, respectively. During his studies at KAIST, he made contributions to computer vision and robotics problems such as image matching, segmentation, and registration, which were applied to object recognition and visual navigation. In 2009, he joined SAIT, Samsung Electronics, and carried out extensive research projects ranging from ToF sensing architecture to depth image processing. He devoted himself to phase unwrapping, depth map upsampling, and stereo matching. In 2015, he joined the Department of Electronics Engineering, Incheon National University, Republic of Korea, as an assistant professor. In 2019, he became an associate professor.
He is the leader of the Computer Vision and Machine Learning Laboratory at Incheon National University. His current research interest includes deep learning, 3D computer vision, and sequential machine learning.
